Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to repair and maintain equipment and infrastructure within our clients’ beverage and brewing facility. This role requires expertise in various welding techniques, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding tasks using appropriate welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding) to join metal components and fabricate structures, equipment, and fixtures. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding requirements and specifications.
• Equipment Repair: Repair and maintain brewery equipment, machinery, piping systems, and infrastructure using welding and fabrication techniques. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• New Construction: Assist with the construction and installation of new equipment and facilities as needed. Fabricate metal components and structures according to engineering specifications and project requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing welding and fabrication activities. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and integrity of welds by performing visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as required. Follow welding procedures and specifications to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including weld logs, inspection reports, and material certifications. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and other documentation as required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production staff to coordinate welding and fabrication activities. Communicate effectively with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in the beverage or brewing industry is a plus.
• Welding Certification: Valid certification in welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding from a recognized training program or certification body.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding techniques, equipment operation, and metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for welding, cutting, and handling of hazardous materials. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate interpretation of specifications and high-quality workmanship.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects various weights for extended periods.
