Role Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Training Coordinator, your duties will include but not limited to the following;
Responsibilities
Implementation and maintenance of the Instrumentation training programs.
Source appropriate Instrumentation training material and utilize all resources necessary to provide a cost effective and functional training matrix.
Continuous improvement of the technical trade standards of all processing instrumentation employees.
Define and identify training needs as per the process plant Instrumentation organisation structure.
Establish Safe Operating Procedures for all major tasks and operations within Processing Instrumentation.
Ensure accurate training and competency records are maintained for all Processing instrumentation personnel.
Develop, maintain and update instrumentation training manuals.
Develop and implement Instrumentation facilitator’s manuals, capability assessments and workplace competency assessments.
Scheduling all training and evaluations for Instrumentation personnel.
Conduct assessments on all instrumentation personnel to establish training needs requirements
Any other duties as directed by the supervisor
Experience & Qualifications
Grade Twelve Certificate.
Advanced Technician Certificate Instrumentation or equivalent
Teaching methodology qualification
Certificate in IV Workplace Training and Assessment/ Training and Development qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Instrumentation Training role
Strong Safety knowledge also added advantage.
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
