Job Description

A growing and customer-focused bakery is looking to recruit an energetic and results-driven Sales Person to deliver excellent customer service, drive daily sales, and represent the bakery brand professionally.

Job Purpose

The Sales Person will be responsible for attending to customers, promoting bakery products, processing sales, and ensuring a positive customer experience at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection
• Promote bakery items including bread, cakes, pastries, and specialty products
• Process customer sales accurately using cash, mobile money, and POS systems
• Ensure correct pricing, issuing of receipts, and proper handling of cash
• Maintain clean, well-arranged, and attractive product displays
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and basic complaints professionally
• Support daily stock checks and report low or damaged stock
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Adhere to company policies, customer service standards, and hygiene requirements

Key Skills & Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate
• Previous sales or customer service experience (bakery, retail, or hospitality experience is an advantage)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Honest, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Basic numeracy skills and ability to use POS systems
