Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces within our clients’ beverage and brewing facility. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed. Repair any imperfections or damage to surfaces to ensure a smooth and even finish.
• Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, or other coatings to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Follow product specifications and mixing instructions to achieve desired colors and finishes.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity, coverage, and adherence to quality standards. Touch up or reapply paint as needed to correct any defects or imperfections.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing painting activities. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Cleanup: Clean up work areas, tools, and equipment at the end of each shift. Dispose of waste and hazardous materials properly to prevent environmental contamination.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of paint usage, color formulas, and inventory levels. Complete work orders, time sheets, and other documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Craft Certificate or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in painting or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a painter, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Experience with painting equipment and techniques specific to the beverage or brewing industry is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with different types of paint, coatings, and application methods.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for handling paint and related materials. Ability to identify and mitigate safety hazards in the workplace.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and reaching for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
