Job purpose

Reporting to Production Manager, the Supervisor plays a critical role in day-to-day operations of the entire production line. This includes the control of manpower, machine-man power utilization, maintaining hygiene on the shop floor, quality of production, sanitization and bulk loading and unloading of materials.

Key responsibilities

1. Check chemical levels and refill or replace containers;
2. Check water levels and pump operations;
3. Runs routine laboratory tests every two hours to determine proper chemical treatment;
4. Maintain plant records;
5. Control equipment and monitor processes that remove or destroy harmful materials, chemicals, and microorganisms from raw water.
6. Operate and maintain the pumps and motors that move water through  RO filtration systems.
7. Observes and inspects plant quality of raw water and all plant equipment;
8. Read meters and gauges to make sure that plant equipment is working properly
9. Collects water samples and sends / delivers them to Tarrant County Health Laboratory;
10. Maintain chemical feed pumps to ensure proper dosage of chemicals;
11. Carryout Backwash of filters as per company sop;
12. Will be responsible for keeping all buildings and work areas clean;
13. Will assist in minor maintenance on machinery and equipment;
14. Prepare daily reports on plant operations and controls;
15. Employee will be subject to emergency call-outs as needed;
16. Must be available to work on any shift either day or night, the Water Treatment Plant.
17. Performs routine grounds and building maintenance; ensure cleaning of tanks used in process on regular basis.

Key Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years, preferably in the FMCG industry and water treatment plant area.
• Education Level: Grade 12 certificates, Diploma
  Qualifications: Diploma and/or degree in Production Management or relevant field
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Good Command in English Language, Nyanja and Bemba
• Abilities: proven abilities of a quality supervisor background.
• Personality: Self-motivated, Completing tasks on Time.
