Job Description

Purpose of the Position:

Work with Technical Programme Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialists to ensure Area Programme teams setup and implement a comprehensive participatory program monitoring and evaluation system that will facilitate effective planning, implementation, performance monitoring, evaluation and accountability of all Ares Programme supported activities that contribute to Child wellbeing, according to World Vision International partnership standards.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate baselines and evaluation studies, and lead the projects ‘baseline and evaluation studies at field level.
  • Assist the Area Programme in project/program cycle process implementation according to LEAP standards.
  • Assist Area Programmes in the process of developing Project Proposals and other new funding initiatives for the APs in the Region and ensuring that these documents are in line with LEAP
  • Work with Design Monitoring & Evaluation Specialists to support Area Programmes in setting up and implementing functional Monitoring systems that will be used to plan and monitor the progress on CWBOs of all AP-supported projects/activities
  • Assist Area Programmes in routine monitoring of output, process and outcome indicators
  • Develop the design document, data collection tools, test the data collection tools, and offer training on data collection tools.
  • Develop methodology, sampling, and tools for outcome and process monitoring studies
  • Assist project teams to conduct monthly review meetings to discuss performance against targets for all activities, explaining any performance variances, identifying and addressing implementation challenges, documenting lessons learned and most-significant success stories and, generating consensus on targets for the next month.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in statistics, physical, biological or social sciences
  • Extensive experience in development studies / rural development, reports and other documents
  • Ability to think logically and systematically and have good organizational skills
  • Any training in statistics and or experience in statistical analysis is an added advantage.
  • Should be able to take initiatives to focus on quality outcomes and services to beneficiaries and customers within the region
  • Should monitor progress and maintain high standards of work for all Area Programmes
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel)
  • Experience in using database and statistical software such as Epi lnfo, SPSS, ENA for SMART, etc.
  • Excellent skill in report writing
  • Experience in project proposal writing.
  • Ability to innovate, take initiatives and focus on quality outcomes and services to beneficiaries and customers.
