Job Description

  • Sample Collection and Preparation: Collect, label, and prepare samples for microbiological analysis, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform microbiological tests on samples, including bacterial cultures, pathogen detection, and microbial counts.
  • Data Recording: Accurately record and interpret test results, maintaining detailed and organized records in laboratory databases.
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure the reliability and accuracy of test results. Identify and troubleshoot any anomalies or issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and in proper working order. Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all laboratory safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other laboratory staff and departments to coordinate testing schedules and share relevant information.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on test findings and results to senior lab personnel or management.

    Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting. Experience in the beverage or brewing industry is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in microbiological techniques and methodologies. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and interpret data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and carrying various weights for extended periods.
