Job Description

Our client in the brewery industry is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanic – Multi Fleet to join the Engineering & Fleet Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of brewery vehicles and mobile equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on a mixed fleet of brewery vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on light vehicles, delivery trucks, forklifts, and utility equipment
• Service engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension, and steering components
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure fleet roadworthiness and compliance
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize delivery and operational downtime
• Support maintenance of mobile plant and material handling equipment within the brewery
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and reports
• Adhere to brewery safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, or related field
• Grade 12 Certificate with credits
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a multi-fleet or FMCG environment
• Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engines
• Experience working on different vehicle brands and models
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and willing to work shifts and standby when require
