FindersHub is recruiting on behalf of a reputable and fast-growing organization seeking to appoint a highly competent, proactive, and ethical Human Resources Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving HR excellence, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with Zambian labour legislation.

Job Purpose

To support the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with organizational objectives while fostering a productive and compliant workplace environment.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle (advertising, shortlisting, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding)
  • Develop job descriptions and competency profiles
  • Coordinate interview panels and selection processes
  • Prepare employment contracts and offer letters

2. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide guidance on disciplinary procedures and grievance handling
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Code Act and other relevant labour laws
  • Maintain proper documentation for disciplinary and performance matters
  • Promote a positive employee relations climate

3. HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
  • Manage leave records and attendance monitoring
  • Oversee onboarding and exit processes
  • Ensure proper filing of contracts and statutory documentation

4. Performance Management

  • Support implementation of performance appraisal systems
  • Track performance improvement plans
  • Assist in setting KPIs and monitoring staff productivity

5. Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Coordinate payroll inputs (leave days, overtime, deductions)
  • Ensure statutory contributions (NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE) are accurate and timely
  • Assist with benefits administration

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs
  • Support employee development initiatives
  • Monitor training effectiveness

7. HR Reporting & Strategy

  • Prepare monthly HR reports
  • Provide data-driven insights to management
  • Support implementation of HR policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR experience
  • Paid-up Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian labour legislation
  • Experience handling recruitment, employee relations, and payroll coordination
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
