Job Description

Our client, a leading agricultural company specializing in fertilizers is looking to recruit an Accountant. The ideal candidate will be required to ensure that financial reports are delivered to a high standard and ensure company financial obligations are met internally as well as externally. He or she Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

Some of the tasks for this position include the following:

Updating books of accounts and Reconciliations.
Reporting and other group requirements
Debtor Management
Payroll processing and payments
Statutory filing i.e., NAPSA, NHIF, PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, withholding VAT.
Other reports e.g., budget as may requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

Must be computer literate with practical knowledge in M/S – Applications i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Must be able to work under pressure and be deadline– driven
Strong communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail
High degree of accuracy
Good mathematical skills
An understanding of the Zambia tax laws

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Accounting degree from a recognised university or full ACCA, CIMA or ZICA
At least 5 years work experience.
Experience in SAP will be an added advantage
Experience in the an agrecultural sector will be an added advantagE

The ideal candidte must be able to start work immdiately and females are encouraged to apply
