Job Description

A high-end Executive Bakery & Restaurant is seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver exceptional culinary standards.

Job Purpose

The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, developing innovative menus, maintaining consistent food quality, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and hygienic food production in line with the brand’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and regularly update menus for bakery items and restaurant meals
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen and bakery staff
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency standards
  • Control food costs through effective portioning, stock management, and waste reduction
  • Develop and standardize recipes, preparation methods, and plating guidelines
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplier requisitions, and stock rotation
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and service standards
  • Coordinate with management on specials, promotions, and seasonal menus
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times

 

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Diploma or professional certification in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Chef in a bakery or restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership, people management, and kitchen organization skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards
  • Creativity in menu development and presentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines
  • Strong cost control and budgeting skills
