ELECTRICIAN-HIGH VOLTAGE

Our client in the brewery industry is seeking a qualified and experienced High Voltage Electrician to join their Engineering & Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of high-voltage electrical systems critical to brewery production and utilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and repair high-voltage electrical systems within the brewery
• Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting on HV equipment to minimize downtime
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on substations, transformers, switchgear, and distribution systems
• Ensure compliance with brewery safety standards, Zambian electrical regulations, and statutory requirements
• Support continuous production by responding promptly to electrical breakdowns
• Participate in plant shutdowns, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and logs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Valid High Voltage Certification
• Grade 12 Certificate with credits
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with high-voltage systems, preferably in an industrial or brewery environment
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Physically fit and able to work shifts and standby when required

Added Advantage

• Previous experience in a brewery, FMCG, or manufacturing plant
• Knowledge of motors, PLC panels, and automated production lines
• Experience with utilities such as compressors, boilers, and refrigeration systems
