Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Clinical Officer to join our team. The Clinical Officer will be responsible for providing medical care and treatment to employees, managing occupational health programs, and promoting health and wellness within our clients’ beverage and brewing facility. This role requires strong clinical skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Care: Provide primary healthcare services to employees, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses. Conduct physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, accidents, or injuries within the facility. Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses, administer first aid, and coordinate with emergency responders or healthcare facilities for further treatment and transportation if necessary.
  • Occupational Health: Manage occupational health programs and initiatives to promote employee health and safety. Conduct pre-employment medical examinations, health assessments, and immunizations. Provide medical clearance for employees working in hazardous or physically demanding environments.
  • Health Promotion: Develop and implement health promotion activities, wellness programs, and educational campaigns to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors among employees. Provide counseling and guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention.
  • Health Surveillance: Conduct health surveillance activities to monitor and assess the health status of employees exposed to occupational hazards or workplace risks. Perform regular medical examinations, screenings, and monitoring of specific health indicators as required by regulatory standards.
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for employees, including medical histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations governing the handling of medical information.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational health specialists, and safety officers, to coordinate patient care, exchange information, and implement health and safety programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in clinical medicine, nursing, or a related field. Valid certification or registration as a Clinical Officer from a recognized institution or regulatory body.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency care, or primary care settings. Experience in the beverage or brewing industry is a plus.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions and injuries. Ability to perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, and emergency medical interventions.
  • Empathy: Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate medical information effectively to patients, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess medical situations, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions.
