A company in the hospitality industry, specialising in conferencing, events, restaurants and rooms, is looking to hire a Chef De Partie.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Head and Sous Chefs, the Chef De Partie is are responsible supporting the in a busy kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food, and handle purchase orders . Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
Key Performance Areas
a) Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
b) Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
c) Preparing meat and fish
d) Assisting with the management of health and safety
e) Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
f) Managing and training any Commis Chefs
g) Monitoring portion and waste control
h) Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Qualifications
a) Full grade 12 twelve certificate or its equivalent
b) Minimum of a Diploma in Food Production, Hotel Management or its equivalent.
c) Possession of a valid food handlers
Work Experience
a) At least Three (3) years’ work experience in a three-star dinning Kitchen.
b) Experience with various areas of the Kitchen i.e., Pastry, Hot Breakfast, Ala carte menu, continental and full English
Competencies
a) Must be a team player.
b) Well kempt and organized.
c) Pays attention to detail.
d) Good supervisory skills.
e) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
f) Excellent, communication and IT skills
g) Excellent personal hygiene
