Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for provision of culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for customers while ensuring food quality and maintaining kitchen equipment
Specific Job Responsibilities
Ensure that quality and presentable food is prepared to satisfy all customers
Responsible for creating menus
Help with setting up the food-servicing area
Event co-coordinating and food servicing whenever necessary
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor

Thorough knowledge of food preparation and servicing
Experience in a variety of different kitchens with exposure to banqueting and industrial catering
Proven creativity in menu planning and recipe creation
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in Food Production or relevant field
