Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring
compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
1- Financial Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable,general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flowstatements.

2- Tax and Compliance:

• Ensure timely submission of NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, and Workers’ Compensation contributions.
• Prepare and submit VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory returns in compliance with Zambian tax regulations.

3- Budgeting and Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance and provide reports to management with insights on cost control and profitability.

4- Payroll Processing:

• Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure all statutory deductions are remitted on time.
• Maintain payroll records and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

5- Audit and Internal Controls:

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Pastel).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
